Cinta (IDCIN)

The oil terminal lies within a restricted area and comprises 2 SBM's, in depths of approx 21m, Lentera Bangsa FSO used for the storage of crude oil. There are a number of oil fields in which there are numerous production platforms, pipelines and mooring buoys situated in the N approaches to Selat Sunda.

Pilotage is compulsory within the terminal limits. The Mooring Master boards in the anchorage area, and will advise on approaches to the SBM, mooring/unmooring, the connecting/disconnecting of hoses, and all other operations within the terminal area.

Lights are exhibited from the structures and from each berth.

Submarine pipelines are laid from the production platforms to a central gathering platform situated 3nm SSE of Batu Karang Pematon, within Cinta field. Weather permitting, the terminal operates 24 hours a day. Ships can berth in daylight only, but can unberth at any time. Tugs or mooring launches are available to assist in berthing.

Radio: It is recommended to use Jakarta Radio for passing messages at long range, callsign "PKX". Working hours are 0001-0400hrs UTC on 8542kHz and 0001-1200hrs UTC on 8752kHz. Inmarsat communication is possible.

Officials will board a vessel as soon as possible after arrival to give inward clearance and pratique. Indonesian Government regulations are strictly enforced. Smuggling, illegal possession or landing of narcotics, liquor, cigarettes, ammunition, sheath knives, similar weapons or other contraband is subject to a severe penalty and may delay the vessel concerned.

Should be advised 72, 48, 24 and 4 hours before arrival, or at any time if there is a change of more than 1 hour.

The Indonesian flag should be flown by day throughout the vessel's stay at the terminal.

Free pratique is granted on arrival. Ship Sanitation Control Certificate (SSCC) and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate (SSCEC) can be renewed at the major ports.
