Saudarkrokur (ISSAU)

The port mainly handles general cargo and fishing activity.

Saudarkrokur lies on the extreme SW corner of Skagafjordur, N Iceland.

Draught 6.3m

Good anchorage may be obtained S of Pordarhofdi (65°57.8'N., 19°30.9'W), in depths from 11.0 to 13.0m, with good holding ground.

The approach to the harbour is indicated by the alignment (229°) of the front leading light. This alignment leads SE of the shoal spit extending S from Innstalandssker. The leading lights are exhibited on request or when vessels are expected.

Pilotage is compulsory. Pilots will meet vessels coming into the port at a 400m point from the harbour entrance.

Range 1.2m (springs), 0.6m (neaps).
