πŸ“‹ Port Overview

βœ“ ISPSβœ“ ECA
Horsens is an ice free port and approached through a dredged channel. The port houses a marina in the NE section of the harbour with extensive facilities for yachts and pleasure craft. The southern section of the harbour is used for dry bulk, handling cargoes including: feed and grain, as well as sand, gravel, lake materials, timber, granite, asphalt and project cargo. In 2017, the construction of The Harbour Houses and recreational district began in the northern area of the harbour. The new apartments, scheduled to be completed in 2024, are built over the former Gropa storage tanks and liquid cargo berths. Further redevelopment for the port area is scheduled to take place per Local Plan 385. Plans for Nordhavn include clearing out a new section of the recently built canal, new apartments and marina berthing.
