Hasle (DKHSL)

The port is currently closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The port is enclosed by stone moles. A new shelter mole extends approx 400m NW from the coast, 170m S of the old S mole light. The harbour consists of an outer basin, through which a channel leads to the outer, centre and inner basins. The depth in the dredged channel and Basins No 3 and 4 is 5.0m and in Basins No 1 and 2 is 4.2m.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Hasle is located on the W side of Bornholm Island at the SW entrance to the Baltic Sea, approx 30nm SE of Ystad.

LOA 75m, beam 12m, draught 4.5m.

A vessel may obtain anchorage anywhere off the W coast of Bornholm between Hasle and Hammeren, 6nm N, in depths of 20-30m.

Approach and entry: The harbour is approached with the aid of leading lights and entered from the N through the outer moles. South Approach: Vessels approaching from the S should keep W of Kasgaard Rev and Hvideodde Rev, then at least 1nm from the coast until within the white sector of Hasle Havn Front Light. North approach: Vessels approaching from the N should maintain sufficient distance from the coast until within the white sector of Hasle Havn Front Light, noting the patch of foul ground with a least depth of 3m, extending 0.25nm from the shore, a short distance N of Hasle Havn. Entry: From a position within the white sector (093-101°) of the Front Light, the alignment (097°) of Hasle Havn Leading Lights leads E through a dredged channel to a point N of the entrance through the outer breakwaters where the entrance is 80m wide: Front Light (red triangle, white band on framework tower, 5.0m in height) (55° 11.4'N 014°42.2'E). Rear Light (red triangle, white band on framework tower, 6.0m in height) (120m E of Front Light).

The Harbour Master acts as Pilot.

West mole head (framework tower, green base, 6.0m in height). North mole head (grey mast, 5.0m in height). Inside mole head (grey pedestal, 2.0m in height).

A speed restriction of 4kts applies in the harbour area outside Basin 5 where the limit is 3kts.

Lyngby Radio (the only coast radio station in Denmark) is recommended for passing messages. The station works throughout 24 hours. Inmarsat communication is possible. VHF: Ch 16, 12 and 13, when the office is manned, normally 0700-1500hrs. Harbour Master Tel: +45 56 96 41 82, Fax: +45 56 96 41 74.

Customs allowances: One bottle of spirits and 200 cigarettes per person are allowed. If quantities in excess of the allowance are found the penalty is a fine. The size of the fine depends on the amounts in excess of allowances. Clearance is handled by the agent but Customs Officers may board at any time to check the validity of the documents handed to the agent. Immigration: There are no restrictions for crew. Passengers of nationalities which require a visa are only allowed transit in Denmark for 36 hours.

Pratique is not required for Danish ports. Agent may request a Maritime Declaration of Health from the Master. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed in large ports.
