Hundested Havn (DKHUN)

The port handles wood chips, break bulk, dry bulk, passengers and refrigerated cargo.

Hundested Havn is situated on the E side of the entrance to Isefjord.

Controlling depths: Old Harbour has a depth of 5.5m in the entrance and outer harbour, subject to silting, particularly in the area SW and W of the N mole and in the Faergehavn there is a min depth of 7.0m.

Pilotage is compulsory for tankers arriving at and departing from Hundested Havn. Pilot boards in position 56°00.5'N 011°50.0'E.

Water levels: Winds from NW can raise the sea level by up to 1.3m, SE winds can lower it by 0.9m. Tidal streams: In calm weather the stream runs regularly N and S off the harbour entrance. During the N going stream the entrance can be difficult to negotiate.

A tug with 6t bollard pull is available.
