πŸ“‹ Port Overview

βœ“ ISPSβœ— ECA
The port is steeped in history as the first two vessels to arrive at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky dates back to 1740. Since its inception, the port has continued to grow and now handles a range of breakbulk, dry and liquid cargo including reefer, containers, coal, steel products, scrap metal, fertiliser, alumina, forest products, animal feeds and vast fishing facilities. There is a naval base located within the harbour. The port mainly handles coastal traffic and from the end of Nov or mid-Dec until the beginning of May, the harbour is ice-bound, but icebreakers work in the severe months. The port is open to vessels all year round.
