Sekupang (IDSKP)

The port is the main domestic port of Batam Island and is used for the transit of general cargos and commercial cargos. Waterfront City Ferry Terminal is located on the W coast of Batam Island, approx 5.3km S from Port of Sekupang, a passenger service operates to Singapore.

Sekupang is on the N coast of Batam Island, approx 15nm SE of Keppel Harbour in Singapore.

Max 5,000DWT.

There is an anchorage available off the wharf at Sekupang in depths from 15.0-20.0m.

Sekupang is approached between a light beacon on the edge of a coastal reef 0.3nm SE of Tanjung Kemudi and a lightbuoy marking the N extremity of an area of shoal water. A light beacon marks the E edge of the shoal area and stands 0.75nm S of Tanjung Kemudi. Mooring buoys have been laid on both sides of the channel between Sekupang and a position 0.5nm farther SSE.

Range between 1.1m and 1.9m.
