Pemangkat (IDPEM)

Pemangkat is located on the S side of Sungai Sambas-besar, close to Gunung Penibungan and within the mouth of Sungai Pemangkat.

Pelbuhan Pemangkat affords anchorage abreast the village. The limits of the anchorage are; on the W, a line joining Tanjung Kalang Bau and Tanjung Bila and on the E, a line drawn 146° from Bukit Raja. Vessels are cautioned that the mud bank fringing the S bank of the river between Bukit Penibungan and Tanjung Parakan is steep to.

A channel, 15m in width, marked by beacons, with a least depth of 0.4m, leads to Kampung Pemangkat.

Radio: It is recommended to use Jakarta Radio for passing messages at long range, callsign "PKX". Working hours are 0001-0400hrs UTC on 8542kHz and 0001-1200hrs UTC on 8752kHz. Inmarsat communication is possible.

Immigration: All crew members must have a valid travel document. Crews from communist countries are not allowed to disembark whilst in port.

Sailing Declaration The agent will deliver the special forms onboard the vessel when alongside.

Should be advised to agent at 10, 3, 2 and 1 day prior to arrival. In addition to date and time of arrival the Master should also advise the estimated draught on arrival.

Free pratique is granted on arrival. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed at the major ports.
