Soby Havn (DKSOB)

The port is used by passenger ferries, commercial and fishing vessels. The harbour consists of three basins and three building/drydocks protected by two moles. Small vessels of less than 5,000GT moored at the port. Bigger vessels go to the shipyard.

Soby Havn is located on N coast of Aero Island in the Little Belt.

New Harbour: LOA 130m, beam 23m and draught 6.0m. Ferry Berth: LOA 137m, beam 20m, draught 4.8m.

Good anchorage (54°57'N 010°16'E) can be obtained in depths of 13-15m, blue clay, well sheltered from winds between SE and WNW through S.

The width of the entrance to the new harbour is 42m, with a depth of 6.5m.

Soby Havn Light, white, six sided tower, 4m in height on East Breakwater head.

Storms from NE can raise water level by up to 1.7m and storms from SW can lower it by the same amount.
