Stigsnaesvaerkets Havn (DKSTG)

Stigsnaesvaerkets Havn serves the power station and is one of Denmark's main coal import ports. The port can handle bulk carriers and oil tankers throughout the year as the harbour is kept free of ice during the winter. Stignaes Ferry Harbour is situated close N, used only for ferry traffic to Agerso and Omo.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Stigsnaesvaerkets Havn is located on the SW coast of Sjaelland, approx 60nm from Copenhagen.

LOA 335m, beam unrestricted at Stigsnaes Oil Pier, draught 16.5m, 299,991DWT.

Anchorage is situated in Korsoer roads, depth 20m and Stigsnaes roads, depth 30m.

Navigation to Stignaes takes vessels through the 'T' Route in the Great Belt through the Agerso Sund. The depth in Stignaes Havn is 17m.

Vessels en route to/from Stigsnaes Oil Terminal must comply with regulations regarding use of pilot within Danish territorial waters. A copy of these regulations can be obtained from the pilots on request. Sea pilot and harbour pilot is compulsory for all tankers calling Stigsnaes Oil Terminal. Boarding positions available through the agent/pilot. Please give notice to Pilots 24, 12, 06 and 04hrs in advance.

A pair of beacons, yellow with X topmark, situated on the shore NE of the N extremity of the coal harbour and NE of the S end of the ash berth, marks each of the N and S limits of the harbour. A port hand light buoy marks the N limit of the dredged area in the approach to the Coal Harbour.

Fixed red 360° lights are positioned on the Oil Pier and at the northernmost and southernmost dolphins with a range of 4.5nm. A port hand light buoy marks the N limit of the dredged area in the approach to the Coal Harbour. The two dolphins flanking the Stignaes Oil Pierhead exhibit lights.

The East Bridge has a vertical clearance of 65m MSL. The harbour is navigable day and night; however VLCC's will berth during daylight hours only. VLCC's will not be allowed to berth during periods of W/SW'ly winds exceeding 23kts. Ship to Ship (STS) operations at Stigsnaes Oil pier may be allowed from time to time, under strict adherence to rules and restriction. Bunker barge operations are considered STS transfers. Vessels below a total length of 50m will not be allowed at Stignaes Transit Harbour coal port.

Range 0.3m average. Currents flow parallel with the head of the pier and can reach a rate of 2kts. Persistent NE gales can raise water level by up to 1.2m; persistent SW gales can lower it by 0.8m.

There are mandatory vessel traffic reporting schemes for crossing the Great Belt, Eastern and Western Channels, from Lat 55°35'N in the North to Hov Light in the South.

Tugs should be ordered at least 12 hours prior to arrival. The following tugs required: ..... Customs allowances: One bottle of spirits and 200 cigarettes per person are allowed. If quantities in excess of the allowance are found the penalty is a fine. The size of the fine depends on the amounts in excess of allowances. Clearance is handled by the agent but Customs Officers may board at any time to check the validity of the documents handed to the agent. Immigration: There are no restrictions for crew. Passengers of nationalities which require a visa are only allowed transit in Denmark for 36 hours.

Notes Masters Declaration: I confirm the details above are accurate and correct and there is sufficient dedicated onboard capacity to store all waste generated between notification and the next adequate port at which waste can be delivered.

During transfer operations all vessels shall show signal flag "B" during the day, and a red light visible through 360° from sunset to sunrise.

Gas freeing and/or tank cleaning alongside the pier is not available. Decks are not to be washed during the vessel's stay in the port. Tubes must not be blown whilst vessel is alongside, and every precaution must be taken to prevent sparks escaping from the funnel. Transfer operations shall not be started, or if started shall be discontinued by either the officer of the vessel or ENERGIE E2's operation supervisor on duty, when any of the following conditions occur: ..... 1. During severe electrical storms. 2. If a fire occurs on the pier or on tanker or in the vicinity. 3. If there are not sufficient competent personnel aboard the vessel to safely handle cargo operation in progress. 4. If it is necessary for any vessel to come alongside or pass within an unsafe distance from any tanker transferring crude oil, or liquefied petroleum products, or should any condition develop which represents a hazard to the tanker or port facilities. 5. If fire alarm is sounded within the power station. 6. If a spill occurs onboard the vessel or on the pier. 7. If a serious vapour condition develops onboard or around the vessel or the pier. 8. If the inert gas system (if available) is ineffective. 9. In case of severe weather conditions. 10. If any emergency occurs which in the opinion of the vessel's officer or ENERGIE E2's Harbour Master constitutes a potential hazard to the vessel or facilities. 11. When ordered to do so by ENERGIE E2's Harbour Master or his authorized representative.

A Maritime Declaration of Health is required.
