Santa Maria (PHSMA)

The port is currently closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The port is divided into three parts by narrow E and W headlands extending from the S side. The port provides the best sheltered anchorage on the W coast of Mindanao.

Port Santa Maria (Port Siocan) is located on the W coast of the Zamboanga Peninsula, which extends from the W coast of Mindanao Island.

Anchorage can be found in both the E and S arms of the bay at the head of the harbour in depths of 22.0 - 27.0m, sand and mud giving way to coral farther inshore.

The entrance, which is difficult to distinguish from a distance, is 0.22nm wide between the shoals just inside it, with considerable depths in the fairway.
