Agotnes (NOAGO)

The Coast Center Base (CCB) is an onshore support and service base for the offshore oil industries. The port mainly support offshore oil industries and handles LNG, chemicals and breakbulk.

North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Agotnes is located approx 10nm W of Bergen in the Hjeltefjorden.

Largest vessels handled are offshore fleet, 15,000DWT and draught 8m from the latest audit.

The anchorage is about 500m N of Quay No 1, with depths of 29.0 to 74m. Drilling rigs and other large vessels will be directed to an anchorage.

Approaches: The normal approach to CCB from the N is via Fedje and Hjeltefjorden, or from the S via Marstein Light and Krossfjorden, which has a bridge height restriction of 50m.

Mooring assistance can be requested by telephone, 2 hours before ETA.

Pilotage is compulsory for foreign vessels. Pilots can be requested via CCB or the vessel's agent, the pilot station is to be notified 1 hour before arrival. Vessels coming from the N take a pilot at Fedje Pilot Station and from the S at Viksoy Pilot Station.

There is a bridge, height restriction of 50m MWL between Knarrevik (Sotra) and Drotningsvik (Bergen). Vessels are requested to use a slow speed within the harbour area.

Any Norwegian Coastal Radio station can be used for passing messages at long range. All coastal radio stations are operated 24 hours a day throughout the year. Customs: Allowance for crew and officers is that stated on the Personal Effects Declaration. Goods on the declaration are not to be taken ashore. Penalties for non compliance are severe fines. Immigration: Board at first port of call (cruise ships only). They require a Crew List and a Passenger List and will make random passport inspections. All passports should be available for a quick clearance which normally takes 15-20 minutes.

Arrival Notification, in the prescribed format, to the Navy should be made 24 hours before entering Norwegian territorial waters (baseline). The name and nationality of the ship must be stated, as well as the arrival date and time of arrival of the ship from and next port. Additional ETA's should be sent 12 and 6 hours prior to arrival to the vessel's agent. For vessels with ISPS compliance, the port requires an Arrival Information Form (www.coastcenterbase.com) to be completed and sent prior to arrival. Services that are requested should be stated, such as bunkers, crew shift, waste delivery or other services. Mooring assistance is ordered by telephone no alter than 2 hours before arrival. This also applies when delayed between docks on the base.

There is no need to apply for pratique. Ship Sanitation Control Certificates (SSCC) can be renewed.

NOR to be tendered in accordance with Charter Party when vessel is ready to start loading/discharging. When berth is not available for loading/discharging NOR to be tendered when anchoring or according to Charter Party.
