Ukpokiti Marine Terminal (NGUKP)

Port closed due to FPSO TRINITY SPIRIT sank after explosion on 2nd Feb 2022. The terminal consists of the 274,775DWT FPSO, "Trinity Spirit" (ex Independence), on a permanent eight point mooring system in approx 26m of water.

Tropical.

The terminal is located approx 15nm NW of Escravos Terminal.

LOA 337m, draught 21m,150,000DWT.

An anchorage area, with a radius of 1.3nm, lies centred about 4.3nm SW of the terminal. Vessels at the anchorage must maintain a continuous listening watch on VHF channel 16.

BA 1385, 3321. Admiralty Pilot NP1, NP286(8).

Pilotage is compulsory. Mooring Master normally boards in position 05°41.5'N 004°47.0'E, about 3nm SW of the terminal, on the N edge of the anchorage area, a 3nm diameter circular area centred on position 05°40'N 004°47'E.

The terminal is normally closed from 1630-0600hrs. Export tankers already on the berth by 1630hrs can continue operations and may also unberth at night.
