Okpo (KROKP)

Okpo port is one of the largest shipbuilding complexes in the world.

Summer.

Okpo is entered between Yangjiam Chwi and a point 1.75nm NW.

Anchorage may be obtained in the NW corner of the harbour in depths of 5.0-14.0m or off Dumo Ri in the SE corner in depths of 10.0-13.0m, mud and sand with good shelter. Quarantine anchorage may be obtained 0.5nm NNE of the head of the SE breakwater.

Two breakwaters protect the harbour from the NE. Lights are exhibited from each breakwater head as follows: N breakwater (red round concrete structure, 7m in height); S breakwater (white round concrete structure, 7m in height).
