Porto Levante (ITPVT)

The port handles LNG, LPG, general cargo, salt and dry bulk.

Porto Levante lies on the NE coast of Italy, halfway between Venice and Ravenna.

Harbour: 5,000DWT Offshore: LOA 300m, draught 12.0m, 84,000DWT

CBM Gas Berth: In the buoyed area, mooring permitted providing the wind speed does not exceed 25kts and the wave height does not exceed 1.2m. Waiting Anchorage Area (CST): For vessels waiting to moor at the gas terminal, is 5.5nm NNE of the terminal. Vessels approaching the anchorage should avoid the shellfish beds and be aware of a submarine cable laid EW at the N end of the anchorage. Lighterage Area: Vessels can work cargo with lighters in an anchorage 2.2nm E of Porto Levante Light, in depths of over 11.0m.

From a position about 1nm NW of the Special Light Beacon, marking the gas terminal, the track leads SSW between two unmarked breakwaters, extending about 0.45nm NNE from the shore, into Fiume Po di Levante.

Pilotage is provided by Chioggia Port Authority.

Before using the approach channel, mariners are to report to either the district harbour master at Porto Levante or the pilots at Chioggia. Gas Terminal: Navigation, anchoring, stopping, fishing and any other marine activity are prohibited within 500m of the light beacon.
