Colochel (INCOL)

Port project has been cancelled. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. A total of 28 berths are proposed, to handle up to 7,500,000TEUs.. Update - Tamil Nadu Maritime are exploring possibilities of developing this port. Currently there is no activity at the port.

Tropical.

Colachel (Kolachel), is 5nm NW of Muttam Point, and 18nm WNW of Cape Comorin, the most southerly point of India.

The port is expected to handle 2,000,000t of cargo initially which would gradually increase to 8,000,000t of cargo over time.
