Situated 140km from Ahmedabad, the Gujarat capital and 138km from Baroda, the state's second most important city, the port is expected to serve the N Indian states of Rajasthan, Utter Pradesh, New Delhi, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh. The proposed site will be connected to the Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar highway approx 11km away.
