Loading rate: Max loading rate achievable using 2 ship loaders at the terminal is 4,200tph each loader. Each loader is able to run at maximum rate. Notice of 20 minutes should be given before any hatch loading changes, alterations to the loading plan, request for draught checks, topping off, belt clearing of to the completion of loading. Draught checks: The vessel is responsible for checking that the correct tonnage is poured into each hatch. The weighing machine is to be used as an approximation of weight only. Masters must ensure the draught is sufficiently monitored. Masters must ensure an UKC at all times of 0.75m whilst at the berth. Vessels will require a 1.25m UKC when sailing. The draught of the vessel will be consistent with tide height. Topping off: Masters must ensure that sufficient officers are on deck to monitor topping off operations. The terminal will accept no responsibility for overloading of vessels or levelling of cargo loaded above deck level in the hatch comings. Any request for coal stowage about deck level, (in hatch coming) is the responsibility of the vessel should cargo levelling be required. When topping off a full hatch vessel should not exceed 12.0m airdraught. Clearing belt: Master must ensure that the shift controller is advised when approx 3,000t of cargo is left to load. The trestle belt must be cleared at completion of cargo. Bill of Lading figure: By draught survey. Ore/oil and OBO vessel: ..... 1. Ore/oil and OBO vessels must inform the PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) at least 72 hours prior to arrival of the last three cargoes carried and whether the vessel is carrying any slops. 2. Ore/oil and OBO vessels which have carried petroleum during the last three voyages will arrange for an independent chemist and a licensed marine surveyor to board the vessel with the Mooring Master, prior to berthing. Provided that the vessel is declared gas free and the holds clean to the satisfaction of the KPC's Superintendent Coal Terminal the vessel may proceed to the loading terminal. All costs incurred for chemist and surveyors will be to the owners account. 3. Ore/oil and OBO vessels which have not carried petroleum products and/or slops during the last three voyages may with the approval of KPC's Superintendent Coal Terminal proceed to the loading terminal. Provided that a declaration by the vessel's Master that the vessel is gas free and is always safe to load coal is received prior to arrival. If there is any doubt regarding the vessels being gas free (2) will be followed. Any delays and/or costs caused through false or wrong information will be to the owners account. 4. Ore/oil and OBO vessels which are carrying ballast in non segregated ballast tanks (SBT) or clean ballast tanks (CBT) systems must inform KPC of this fact prior to arrival. Such vessels will not be able to discharge such ballast without inspection and authority of KPC's Marine Superintendent. Delays due to inspections of such vessels will be to the owners account. In the event of a geared vessel being utilised, the user is obliged to ensure that such vessel's gear does not impede the operation of the ship loaders or otherwise reduce the loading rate of the terminal. 5. The user concerned is liable for any damage, loss or cost suffered or incurred by the terminal, by the use of a geared vessel, provided however, that loss of profit, expectation of profit and all indirect or consequential loss, damage or costs are excluded. 6.
