πŸ“‹ Port Overview

βœ— ISPSβœ— ECA
The Port of Bel Air serves as a critical hub for the export of bauxite, a key raw material utilised in the production of aluminium. Strategically located to facilitate efficient transportation, the port is equipped with two dedicated harbour berths specifically designed for the loading of self-propelled barges for transhipment to offshore STS locations. At the berths, the self-propelled barges are loaded with bauxite, which is then transferred to ocean-going vessels via transhipment vessels. This process ensures that the bauxite is efficiently moved from the barges to vessels, optimising the export process and minimising delays.
