Tyrell Bay is on SW coast of Carriacou Island, NE of Grenada.

LOA 105m, beam 18m, 7,392DWT.

Approx 23,000t of cargo and 180 vessels handled annually.

Vessels may anchor in the northern outer bay at depths of 9.1 to 27.45 meters, while anchoring is strictly prohibited in the inner lagoon.

Tyrrel Bay, entered between a point 0.65nm S of Point Cistern and a point 1.5nm farther S.

Ships over 200GT compulsary use a pilot in Tyrell Bay as required by Section 54 of the Grenada Port Authority Act. Vessel master with at least 20 prior calls to Tyrell Bay may apply to the Authority for an exemption from compulsory pilotage.
