The port is temporarily closed for reconstruction. Details are retained should the situation alter. The harbour, which has been redeveloped for urban and leisure use, consists of several basins protected by 2 breakwaters with an entrance width of 50m facing ENE.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Tuborg is a small port located close N of Copenhagen.

Approx 4,000DWT.

The directions for entering the harbour are as follows: Tuborg Leading Lights: Front Light (white triangle, point up, red band, on a beacon), 55°43.6'N 012°35.1'E. Middle Light (white triangle, point down, red band on mast), 140m farther WSW. Rear Light (white diamond on gable of a building), 305m WSW from the front light. The alignment (258°) of these lights, (shown throughout 24 hours and extinguished when the harbour cannot be entered) leads WSW from a position approx 0.7nm ENE of the Front Light, close S of a lightbuoy (starboard hand) through the channel, 60m in width, marked by a lightbuoy (port hand) and lateral buoys. The track passes between the breakwater heads marked by lights (red and green towers, 3m in height), shown throughout 24 hours.

Pilotage is compulsory for oil tankers, loaded chemical tankers and gas carriers. Pilots can be obtained from Copenhagen, Helsingor and Dragor.

Tugs can be obtained from Copenhagen.

Lyngby Radio recommended for passing messages. The station operates throughout 24 hours.

Customs allowances: One bottle of spirits and 200 cigarettes per person are allowed. If quantities in excess of the allowance are found the penalty is a fine. The size of the fine depends on the amounts in excess of allowances. Clearance is handled by the agent but Customs Officers may board at any time to check the validity of the documents handed to the agent. Immigration: There are no restrictions for crew. Passengers of nationalities, which require a visa are only allowed transit in Denmark for 36 hours.

There is no demand for an ETA by Port Authorities.

Speed is restricted to a max of 7kts in the channel and 5kts in the harbour.

Pratique is not required for Danish ports. Agent may request a Maritime Declaration of Health from the Master. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed in large ports.
