Fakse Ladeplads (DKFAK)

Faxe is an alternative name for Fakse Ladeplads.

Fakse Ladeplads is located on the SE coast of the island of Sjaelland, on the N coast of Fakse Bay.

LOA 95m, beam 15m, draught 4.1m.

Approx 150 vessels and 120,000t of cargo handled annually.

Anchorage can be obtained W of the navigation channel approx 0.3nm off the harbour in a depth of approx 5.0m, blue clay and sand.

Leading Lights: Front Light (red triangle, point up, on red beacon, 8m in height) 55°12.9'N 012°09.9'E. Rear light (red triangle, point down, on red beacon, 10m in height) 111m farther NNW. The alignment (345.5°) of these lights, which are obscured by silos when more than 0.5nm E of the leading line, leads NNW through a dredged channel, 1,000m in length, with 25m bottom width, depth of 4.3m, marked by buoys (lateral), passing WSW of a rock (0.65nm SSE of the front light), marked by a buoy (S cardinal).

When vessels are loading in turn, the loading berth must not be used for making the vessel ready for sea.

The pilot boarding position is located approx 1nm SSE of the harbour. Pilotage is not compulsory, but recommended for vessels more than 1,000DWT. A pilot should be requested 24 hours prior to arrival.

The port limits include the Fairway Channel to 1nm off the entrance.

Deep draught vessels cannot enter the port due to the limited depth. Speed is restricted to a max of 3kts inside the harbour.

Range 0.3m.

There is 1 tug available on request to the Harbour Master, "Rollo", bollard pull 3t, 200hp. Tug should be requested 24 hours prior to arrival.

No local allowances apply. The Customs Declaration should be tendered 2 hours prior to arrival. All crew and passengers from Baltic ports must have a legal visa.

All ships arriving from Baltic ports have to give 24 hours notice to Naval Control of Shipping. Vessel's ETA should be sent to Harbour Office 12 hours prior to arrival, confirmation should be sent 2 hours prior to arrival. The ETA message should include the following information: ..... 1. Pratique is not required for Danish ports. Agent may request a Maritime Declaration of Health from the Master. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed in large ports.
