Abu al Bukhoosh (AEABU)

This port is closed to commercial traffic. Production is now directed to Das Island by pipeline. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The berth consisted of the 245,000DWT storage tanker "Pacific Power" permanently moored to an SBM. Berthing was alongside storage vessel's starboard side, export tanker's portside.

An offshore terminal located in the Gulf approx 150km NNE of Ruwais.

Largest vessel handled: "Summer" 280,000DWT, draught 22.0m.

Approx 3,500,000t exported annually.

Anchorage is within a 0.5nm radius, centred on the pilot station.

Compulsory for berthing and unberthing, located 5.6km SW of storage vessel "Pacific Power". Anchoring Area/Pilot Station, 28°27'N 053°05'E.

VHF: Ch 16 and 15 (pilot). Export tanker has to call Abu Al Bukhoosh pilot on "Pacific Power" bridge on Ch 15.

Notify ETA 72, 48 and 24 hours prior to arrival.
