Dong Nai (VNDNA)

The port handles marine port services such cargo loading and unloading, warehousing, vessel supply, and freight forwarding. The port also comprises Godau "A" and "B" terminals situated on the Thi Vai River which handle wood logs, steel products and agricultural products. In addition, Long Binh Tan Terminal, situated on the Dong Nai River, handles general cargo, and petroleum products; there is also a small LPG/LNG facility.

Dong Nai (previously Go Dau) lies on the E bank of Thi Vai approx 35km upriver. The Long Binh Tan terminal is some distance away, positioned 100km upriver on the Dong Nai River, above Saigon.

Approx 6,300,000t of cargo, 400,000TEU, and 1,300 vessels handled annually.

Anchorages are available for small vessels off Vung Tau.

Approach and entry: Thi Vai River which leads to Godau "A" and "B" Ports has a length of 20nm and draught of 6.5m at MLW. The channel leading to Long Binh Tan Terminal on the Dong Nai River has a length of 54nm and depth of 4.0m. Godau "A" Port is located: 10°39.50'N 107°01.25'E. Godau "B" Port is located: 10°39.02'N 107°01.10'E. Long Binh Tan is located: 10°54.00'N 106°50.53'E.

Dry season: December to April. Rainy season: May to November. The temperature average is 28°C with air humidity 75-78%.
