Icdas Jetty (TRIDS)

The private port handles steel from the local steel factory but is open to all companies for trade and loading/discharging of a variety of dry cargoes.

Icdas port is located on the southern coast of the Sea of Marmara. The nearest town is Karabiga.

LOA 368.04m, beam 55m, 297,541DWT.

Vessels anchor according to advice from port traffic control, usually approx 1nm W of the port. The anchorage area is open to N'ly winds and depths vary from 20.0-50m. Small vessels can anchor 0.3nm from the port.

Coastguard standby on VHF Ch 16.

Pilotage is compulsory. Contact Port Authority or agent. English is spoken by pilots. Pilot boards vessel 0.5nm off the pier/breakwater. Vessel should call pilot two and one hours before arrival via VHF Ch 16/10.

The port limits are defined as 1nm off the shore.

The Turkish Vessel Traffic System is in operation.

Tugs are available.

Mostly N'ly, NE'ly winds in winter, summer mostly SW'ly winds.

ETA notice should be sent 7, 5, 3, 2 and 1 day prior to arrival and updated 72, 48 and 24 hours before arrival to charterers and agents according to Charter Party. The ETA should advise draught, estimated bunkers on arrival, cargo quantity and cargo distribution. Vessels coming from the N of Bospohrus should give/update their ETA after passage of the Strait, same for Dardenelles Strait.

Pratique should be applied for while passing Dardanelles or Bosphorus, if Immigration boat is not on station it can also be applied for at the port. Ship Sanitation Control Certificate (SSCC) and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate (SSCEC) can be renewed.

NOR should be tendered in accordance with Charter Party terms.
