Fethiye (TRFET)

The port is closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The port is been used by boats as Marina.

Summer.

The port is located on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, approx 70km from the island of Rhodes. The main port area is in the S of Fethiye Bay.

Anchorage may be obtained in depths from 13.0-18.0m, stiff mud, in any part of Fethiye Limani clear of the shoal water on the E side of the harbour.

Approach Fethiye on an ENE course, passing midway between Camli Burun and the S end of Kizil Adasi. When Pacariz Burnu bears 123°, steer for it on that bearing until Batik Kaya (sunk rock) is abeam to starboard, then pass between Pacariz Burnu and Fethiye Adasi. Note: Attention should be paid to daily tour boats at approx 1000hrs and 1800hrs.

The main coastguard base is located 20nm W of Fethiye, working channel VHF Ch 16 is monitored. The local coastguard is located in Belediye Marina.

Pilotage is not compulsory but available from Izmir if required.

Fethiye Limani is divided into an inner and an outer harbour. The inner harbour is the sea area E and S of a line drawn from 36°38.5'N 029°06.1'E to the S extremity of Fethiye Adasi 0.3nm NNW, and a line drawn from the NE extremity of Fethiye Adasi to the mainland, 2nm E. The outer harbour is the sea area lying S of a line drawn between 36°42.6'N 029°00.0'E and 36°33.0'N 028°51.0'E; E of a line drawn S from 36°33.0'N 028°51.0'E to the outer limit of territorial waters; W of a line drawn S from 36°17.6'N 029°15.8'E to the outer limit territorial waters, and the inner harbour limit.

Range 0.3m.

There are no traffic schemes in operation.

There are no tugs in the port but can be arranged from Antalya.

Pre arrival notices are given by the agent to the Harbour Master, Customs, Immigration, Police and the Port Health Department, 5 days prior to arrival.

The Health Declaration is to be handed to officials onboard, free pratique is given on arrival.
