Edincik (TREDK)

The port ore loading pier and facility is not been in operation for the past 35 years. The port is right now operated by Cevresel Kimya Ve San TIC.A.S which handled Jet Fuel for the Nato Forces.

The port of Edincik is located on the southern coast of the sea of Maramara, approx 10km W of Bandirma.

Draught 5.5m, 4,000DWT.

The head of Erdek Limani provides large anchorage and is calm in all except for SW winds. The holding ground is good everywhere, especially in the greater depths of the NW part. Vessels carrying explosives or inflammable cargoes are required to anchor in the SE part of Erdek Limani.

Compulsory. Pilot comes from Bandirma.

Daylight berthing only, unberthing permitted throughout 24 hours.

Range 0.3m.

Towage can be arranged from Bandirma.

Prevailing winds: Variable. SW gales are rare in winter, but when they do occur, are strong.
