Sedef Port, is the former name for Yilport, a subport of Diliskelesi.

Diliskelesi lies on the N coast of the Gulf of Izmit, on the E side of the Sea of Marmara.

A designated anchorage area, is bounded by a line joining Darica Burnu (40° 45.0'N 029°33.0'E), Kaba Burnu (40°46.0'N 029°31.0'E) and the coast to the N. Anchoring is prohibited in the vicinity of a submarine gas pipeline towards the E boundary of the area. Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot Station.

The Poliport complex is situated at Izmir Kimya, close W of the mouth of Ova Deresi (40°46.0'N 029°31.7'E). The outer complex extends ENE from Ova Deresi for 1nm.

Solventas/Poliport: Tankers and chemical carriers can only berth daytime, unberth anytime.

Vessels calling at Turkish ports have to obtain Customs clearance. Nobody can join or leave the ship before inspection is completed. Vessels may be cleared at anchorage or alongside and sometimes in the straits of Dardanelles and Bosphorus. The clearance party consists of 1 Sanitary Officer, 1 or more Immigration Police, 1 or more Customs Officer. Customs allowance: Ten packets of cigarettes and one bottle of spirits per crew member per week.

ETA should be sent 48, 24 and 12 hour prior to arrival and should include request for pilot and tugs.

All foreign ships are required to fly Turkish flag during their stay in Turkish ports or anchorages and also when passing through the Turkish straits (Dardanelles and Bosphorus).

Vessels calling at Turkish ports have to obtain free pratique, which can be obtained when transiting Dardanelles or Bosphorus straits or at the port.

NOR will be received by Loading Master or receivers of cargoes. It should be tendered at the time of pilot boarding, anchoring or arrival points.
