Cesme (TRCES)

The port consists of an outer harbour containing ferry terminal and an artificial harbour with a pier and jetty.

Summer

Cesme is a small port situated at the head of Cesme Koyu, a bay entered between Fener Burnu and a point about 0.6nm ENE.

Draught 7.9m, 22,000DWT.

General anchorages: ..... 38°20.3'N 026°16.4'E 38°18.3'N 026°16.1'E 38°18.3'N 026°14.0'E 38°20.3'N 026°15.1'E A designated anchorage area is centred about 0.75nm SW of Kaleyeri Sigligi Light, with depths from 17.5-43m.

Compulsory for vessels which over 500GT. Pilots are available 24 hours a day. Notice should be given 1 hour prior to pilot position for arrivals.

Kaleyeri Sigligi Light (concrete tower, 9m in height). Fener Burnu Light (38°19.5'N 26°17.0'E). A stone arch about 0.5nm ESE of Fener Burnu. Genoese Castle standing in the town. A Television Tower standing on a ridge N of the town exhibiting a flashing white light.

Available and compulsory for all vessels over 2000GT. Two tugs are available, one with a 30t bollard pull and equipped with Fi-Fi systems and the other with an 11t Bollard pull equipped with fire pumps.

VHF: Ch 16.

Vessel's ETA should be sent through the agent 24 hours in advance.

..... 1. Alongside place of vessels at the low coded pier to be determined by the pilot. 2. A watch-keeper should take duty by the gangway at all times. 3. Any leakage of oil/oily or any other substance(s) which may cause pollution should not be allowed. 4. Pumping out sludge, bilge water, dirty ballast water or disposing garbage to the sea is strictly prohibited. 5. Scrapping and painting are strictly prohibited, during a ships stay at berth or anchorage. 6. All shore ropes should be fasted. 7. Any kind of hot work is prohibited onboard. 8. In case of fire, take the immediate action and inform the Port Management and/or the Pilot Station on VHF Ch 12. 9. The vessel should be ready to leave berth at all times. 10. Adequate crew should be ready onboard for emergency situations.
