Ceyhan is an area within Botas Harbour Authority which comprises Toros, Botas (Ceyhan) Oil Terminal, BTC Terminal Ceyhan, Isken Terminal and Yumurtalik, see separate entries for details. The main oil terminals in Ceyhan serve as outlets for oil products and gas exported from Iraq by rail and pipeline. Toros is a multi purpose terminal with facilities for handling bulk carriers, tankers, container and Ro-Ro vessels. Isken and Yumurtalik are offshore terminals handling coal and oil products respectively. BTC BIL Terminal loads crude oil vessels with products from Azerbaijan oil fields, via Georgia through a 1,776km pipeline, of which approx 1,076km runs through Turkey. The terminal consists of two berths located on a steel and concrete jetty approx 2.5km long. Botas Terminal exports crude oil transported by pipeline from northern Iraq. The terminal comprises a steel pile jetty extending from the shore for 0.55nm SE then 0.55nm S. Two loading platforms, known as Platform "A" and Platform "B" on the outer part of the jetty, provide 4 tanker berths. Each berth has 4 loading arms.
