Rundvik (SERUV)

The port, located within the industrial area of Rundvik, stands at the head of Rundvik sawmill and used for the transhipment of forest products. Vessels berth alongside a permanently moored transhipment pontoon on the S side of the pier at Rundvik. A recreational marina is located 0.6nm SW of the pier.

Rundvik is located in Vasterbotten, in the Gulf of Bothnia, on the NE coast of Sweden.

Max LOA 173.94m, beam 22m, draught 7.1m and 21,359DWT.

Vessels may anchor in Nordmalingsfjarden in depths of 4-13m and in depths of 4.5-6m, clay and sand, just off the harbour.

Under the Swedish Transport Agency, initial request must be made 24hr in advance and then 5hr in advance. Pilotage is available throughout 24hrs. Compulsory pilotage: Tankers: LOA 80m, breadth 16m and draught 5m. General cargo vessels: LOA 90m, breadth 16m and draught 5.5m. Special procedures and standards for max dimensions: LOA: Vessels with an LOA > 130m may be accepted after special testing by the pilots. Draught: 7m. Two pilots: Two pilots necessary for vessels with an exemption and an LOA > 155m. Visibility restrictions: Vessels with an LOA > 130m are restricted by a visibility of at least 1nm. Rundvik Light (framework tower on concrete column) stands on a mooring dolphin 30nm off the pierhead.

Tugs available and can be used for vessels from 110-173m for both arrival and departure. Restrictions: Vessels with an LOA 110-130m mean wind > 8 m/s. Note: Tug assistance for vessels without a working bow thruster is increased with one tug (min 10t bollard pull).

Ice may impact the port.
