Lomma (SELOM)

Lomma port is a small craft harbour about 4.8km NNE of Malmo. Formed by two breakwaters. Main activities are fishing and seafood heaven for local residents.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Located at the mouth of Hojean River, 8km N of Malmo on the SW coast.

Draught 2.7m.

Anchorage can be obtained in Lomma Redd, off the harbour in depths from 7.0-10.0m, clay and fine sand. A vessel can anchor, 1nm offshore in a depth of 7.5m, with Lund Cathedral (7nm SE of Loddekopinge) bearing 072° just open N of the chimneys at Lomma.

A light is exhibited from a white lantern on the N side of the entrance which faces WSW between the heads of the breakwaters.
