Kappelshamn (SEKPH)

It is reported that the port is currently out of use. A decision on its redevelopment is pending. Information about the port is retained should it reopen. The port, which caters mainly for fishing and private yachts, can also be used as a standby harbour for Visby ferry traffic in poor weather conditions. The harbour consists of a pier with three breasting dolphins joined by bridges. A small vessel and fishing harbour lies to the W.

Kappelshamn lies on the W side of an inlet on the N coast of Gotland, off the E coast of Sweden.

From a position in the entrance, approx 2.7nm NE of Hallshuk Light, the recommended track leads S for approx 9.2nm, by day using the line of bearing 182° of Larbro Church and by night in the white sector (173°-183.5°), ahead, of Kappelshamn Light leads safely to the vicinity of the berths.
