Yeisk is an alternative name for Yeysk.

Summer Zone for vessels over 100m in length and Winter Seasonal Area for vessels of 100m or less in length, Winter Dec 1 to Feb 28/29, Summer Mar 1 to Nov 30.

Yeysk is located in the NE part of the Sea of Azov on the southern coast of the Gulf of Taganrog. It is approx 25nm NE of Kerch.

LOA 150m, Draught 4.5m, Beam 22m, 12,107DWT.

Approx 4,600,000t of cargo handled.

Safe anchorage can be found in depths of 6.0m in Yeyskiy Reyd, approx 8nm W of Yeysk. Area No 456, with depths of 3.8-4.4m, is centred 2nm WNW of Yeysk Harbour entrance and is bounded by the following co-ordinates: ..... 1. 46°44.9'N 038°12.5'E 2. 46°45.6'N 038°13.5'E 3. 46°44.9'N 038°14.5'E 4. 46°44.2'N 038°13.6'E Area No 462 with depths of 6.0m, mud and shells, is centred 7.5nm N of Mys Sazal'nik and is bounded by the following co-ordinates: 1. 46°59.8'N 038°26.9'E 2. 46°59.8'N 038°29.4'E 3. 46°58.6'N 038°29.4'E 4. 46°58.5'N 038°27.0'E

The port is approached by a channel, 8.5nm in length, 80m off-width, depth 1.2m, which leads SE through the coastal bank from Yeyskiy Reyd.

During the Winter season, Azov sea and Taganrog gulf will be frozen, hence passage of ships to port and an exit from it are provided by the ice breaker "Kapitan Krutov".
