Svetlaya Reka (RUSVE)

The port mainly handles timber and general cargo.

Svetlaya is a minor port on the Sea of Japan at the mouth of the Svetlaya River. There are 2 anchorages to the N and S affording some shelter for small vessels.

Anchorage for small vessels, sheltered from NE and SW winds, can be obtained either N or S of the reef extending E from Mys Sosunova. Bukhta Svetlaya, 0.3nm NE of the river mouth, provides anchorage, in Russian Regulated Area No 350, in 11.0 to 15.0m. To the S of the river lies another anchorage in Russian Regulated Area No 353.

The entrance to Reka Svetlaya is obstructed by a bar with depths of less than 2.0m, rock. Outside the bar there is a bank with depths of 3.7m extending 185m from the river mouth. Inside the bar the river widens and a depth of 1.8m is maintained for 2nm from the river mouth. Two pairs of Beacons situated 230m WSW and 550m W of Mys Sosunova indicate the channel over the bar and the entrance channel into the river.
