Calapan (PHCLP)

The port is currently closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The port is located 1nm NE of Calapan town; a concrete pier, government wharf and Ro-Ro berths are available. Copra, rice, hemp, bananas and timber are exported.

Approx 325,000t cargo, 23,500 vessels, and 5,800,000 passengers are handled annually.

Recommended anchorage is in 13.0-18.0m, with a sea bed of rock. The anchorage should be approached with caution as the bottom is irregular. Holding ground is poor and the anchorage is not safe during NE monsoon.

There is a lighthouse at the port.

Entrance channel There's an existing entrance and exit channel for vessels coming to and from the Port of Batangas.

Streams set N alongside the pier during the out-going tide and S during the in-coming tide.

Landlines (CATSI) and cellular based communications (Smart,Globe), and internet services are available in the city.
