Al Suwaiq enable to handle ships and dhows with variety of cargoes. The port able facilitate cargoes carried by ships such as steel, steel products, general cargo, project cargo, bulk cargo and container. Besides, the port also able to handle cargo carried by dhows such as live animals, general cargo, fruits, vegetables and many more.

On arrival at port or anchorage, the masters of vessels should produce all documents required by the customs officers of the Royal Omani Police, Directorate General of Customs. All imports and exports of goods of any kind must be cleared by the Royal Omani Police - Directorate General of Customs.

The following documents should be submitted to ASYAD PORTS electronically, at least 42 hours prior to Vessel’s or small craft’s arrival by the shipping agent or the master through the shipping agent. Failure to do so may result in withholding of vessel’s or small craft’s clearance to berth or sail from the Port, until they are made available. ..... The master of a ship or small craft should report, through the appointed local representative, the expected time of arrival (ETA), length overall (LOA) of the vessel or small craft, and draft of the vessel or small craft, as well as any other requested information, to the Harbor Master of the port by mail or fax 72, 48, and 24 hours prior to arrival at the port.
