Hommelvik (NOHOK)

There is a 300m long quay for handling break bulk goods and scrap metal.

The small port area of Hommelvik is located at the SW end of Hommelvik Bay, which leads out into Stjordalsfjorden, 11nm East of Trondheim and approx 85nm from Haltenbanken and the Norwegian Sea.

Available in 25m to 35m of sand on the West side of Hommelvik Bay, near its head. Vessels may anchor almost anywhere in the Bay, depending on weather conditions.

Hommelvik Bay is entered SE of the Rota Light (63°25.99'N 10°45.26'E).

Norwegian State Pilot can be ordered electronically, using the SafeSeaNet (SSN) (http://www.kystverket.no/en). Alternative booking of Pilot can be done via Kvitsoy Pilot Centre which may incur additional charges. Pilot boards at 63°39.00'N 9°14.90'E passing Trondheim.

Rota Light [Oc(1) WRG.6s)] located at 63°25.99'N 10°45.26'E is approx 3m in height and visible from up 8 to 10nm.
