Najin (KPNJN)

It is reported that the port has opened to foreign vessels. The harbour is semi-circular in shape, with central depths ranging from 10.6m to 21.3m. Three insular breakwaters are located within the harbour.

Summer zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Dec 1 to Feb 28/29, Summer Mar 1 to Nov 30.

Najin is located on the NE coast of North Korea, about 29km SW of the Russian border.

Anchorage is available in depths of 6.0m to 21.3m. The holding ground of mud, sand and shells is poor.

There are no defined fairways, but the controlling depth to the deep water wharves is 9.4m.
