Susaki (JPSUZ)

The port handles approx half the cargo for Kochi Prefecture, in which it is located. Commodities handled at the port include cement, timber, heavy oil, limestone and general cargo. Its geographic location makes it susceptible to tsunamis and it has suffered damage from these in the past.

Susaki is located on the southern coast of Shikoku, near the centre of Tosa Bay.

Nittetsu Dolphin Pier: Draught 12.5m, 30,000DWT.

The port offers good sheltered anchorage in depths of up to 14m with sandy clay bottom.

The channel has a depth of 7.0-15.0m and is 2,500m in length with a width of 120-300m. Draught limitation in the channel to the public berths is 8.4m. Nittetsu Dolphin Pier to the W of the harbour entrance has a depth of 14.0m.

It is possible to enter and sail from the port after sunset.
