Kanda is located on the NE coast of Kyushu, approx 22km S of the Kanmon Strait.

Draught limitation in the channel is 9.9m, for vessels with draught over 9.0m entry or departure only possible at HW.

Not compulsory. Inland Sea pilots are available from Sekisaki or Mutsure. If required, harbour pilots are available at the anchorage position (33°48.15'N 131°02.53'E), until 2000hrs.
