Enzeli is an alternative name for Bandar Anzali.

Bandar Anzali is located in the land-locked Caspian Sea on the Northern coast of Iran. The port is adjacent to Anzali, 380km NW of Tehran and 40km from Rasht, the capital of Gilan Province.

VHF Ch 16 and telex is used for search and rescue operations.

Pilotage is compulsory and carried out by the Port Authority. There is no pilot station and all communications are via VHF. The pilot is picked up at the safe water mark buoy which is 1.5nm from the anchorage, 1.4nm from the nearest berth and 1.8nm from the farthest one.

Every vessel within 37°28.0'N 049°32.0'E is considered to be an arrived vessel.

Foreign vessels, on entering Iranian marine territory and during their stay at Iranian ports, must always raise the Iranian flag over the forward decks.

Free pratique should be applied before vessel's arrival by VHF Ch 16. All crew should have a Vaccination Book. Ship Sanitation Control Certificate (SSCC) and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate (SSCEC) will be issued and renewed by Port and Shipping Organisation.

NOR should be tendered to the Port Authority and other concerned parties, in accordance with the instructions of the owner or Charter Party, on arrival of vessel.
