Ratnagiri (INRTC)

The small port of Ratnagiri has a fishing port and a Pozzocrete loading pier, for specialised vessels. The port of Ranpar, 11km S is a private port owned by Finolex, consisting of a liquids pier and coal pier, the liquids pier is closed during the monsoon period (Jun-Sep).

Ratnagiri is located on the W coast, approx 230km S of Mumbai.

Finolex Jetty: LOA 177m, draught 9.5m, 20,000DWT.

The port offers two areas of anchorage in depths of 9.0-11.0m.

Ratnagiri Light is exhibited from a white round concrete tower, black bands, 15m in height, standing on the S bastion of the Fort. An auxiliary light is exhibited from a pedestal on the same structure and shows red fixed over the greater part of the bay. A radio beacon and Racon transmit from Ratnagiri Light.

Local port health officer grants pratique after boarding vessel.

To be tendered as per terms and conditions of Charter Party. Generally, NOR tendered by master on vessel's arrival advising that vessel is ready to load/discharge the nominated cargo.
