Madura (IDMDR)

The port is currently closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. Madura is an oil terminal which consists of a storage tanker, "Asoka Nusantara", located in position 06° 50.66'S 112°56.75'E. Depth alongside the storage tanker is 21.3m. This terminal serves a domestic tanker going to Balikpapan once a month.

Madura is situated approx 3.5nm N of Labuan.

LOA 250m, 105,000DWT.

An anchorage is situated approx 5.5nm N of Labuan. A Berthing Master will board at the anchorage to assist in berthing, which is port side alongside the storage tanker.

BA 975. Admiralty Pilot NP34, NP286(4).

Berthing takes place in daylight only; unberthing is at any time.

Compulsory within the terminal area. Pilot boards 2nm N of the storage tanker.

Berthing during daylight hours only. Unberthing anytime.

Tugs are available.

Radio: It is recommended to use Jakarta Radio for passing messages at long range, callsign "PKX". Working hours are 0001-0400hrs UTC on 8542kHz and 0001-1200hrs UTC on 8752kHz. Inmarsat communication is possible. VHF: Terminal monitors Ch 16 throughout 24 hours. Pilots monitor Ch 06.

Immigration: All crew members must have a valid travel document. Crews from communist countries are not allowed to disembark whilst in port.

Technical information requested by the terminal operators Further ETA's should be sent 24 and 12 hours prior to arrival through Pertaminaship, Surabaya. Any changes to the ETA should be advised.

Free pratique is granted on arrival. Ship Sanitation Control Certificate (SSCC) and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate (SSCEC) can be renewed at the major ports.
