Luwuk (IDLUW)

Luwuk consisted of Multipurpose Terminal handling container, break bulk, dry bulk and small passenger ship. There is also a small products tanker berth located at Luwuk which operated by PT Pertamina EP. However, the larger facility is the PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) Plant located to the SW of Luwuk. The plant is sustained by the gas fields of Senoro-Toili and Matindok and will export LNG to Japan and South Korea. The plant shipped its first LNG cargo in August 2015. Pelabuhan Tangkiang Terminal solely used for handling container. PT Panca Amara Utama (PAU) operates an ammonia plant and their plant handles blue ammonia.

Luwuk is on the E coast of Central Sulawesi. The PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) Plant is located in Uso Village, within the district of Batui, Banggai Regency, approx. 48km SW of Luwuk.

LOA 290m, beam 48.94m, 86,455DWT and draught 11m.

Approx 2,000,000t of cargo handled annually.

The open road off Luwuk provides good anchorage about 0.26nm offshore, in a depth of 45m. The anchorage should be approached with the cleft in the mountains behind the village, bearing 315°. Anchorage is also available off the Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) Plant, located roughly 01° 15.534'S 122° 35.064'E.
