The first deep water port in Ecauador, with a current capacity to receive vessels of up to 15,500TEU. Chosen for its strategic location, DP World have a 50 year concession as operator from the Government of Ecuador. Phase I has been completed and includes the dredging of the new access channel, a 20km access road and 400m of new quay handling containers and break bulk. Posorja will be able to receive larger Post-Panamax vessels on longer berths and will complement the nearby inland port of Guayaquil.
