Skaerbaekvaerket Havn (DKSKB)

Skaerbaek is a sub port of Skaerbaekvaerket Havn.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Skaerbaekvaerket Havn is situated on the N shore of Kolding Fjord.

LOA 250m, draught 11.3m.

Anchorage is located off Fredericia or Assens to the S. Smaller vessels can anchor at the entrance to Kolding Fjord.

Skaerbaekvaerket Havn: A dredged channel, length 200m, width 49m and depth 7.0m, leads to the coal harbour. Another channel, length 500m, width 80m and depth 11.8m, leads to the oil berth.

There are 2 road bridges which span the N Lillebaelt, the vertical clearance is 33m. No restrictions to night movements.

Max tidal range 1.0m. Winds between N and E can raise water level by up to 1m; winds between S and W can lower it by up to 1m.

There are no stationary tugs at the harbour. Tug boats are available from 1400-3600 hp can be requested with 24 hours notice.

Customs allowances: One bottle of spirits and 200 cigarettes per person are allowed. If quantities in excess of the allowance are found the penalty is a fine. The size of the fine depends on the amounts in excess of allowances. Clearance is handled by the agent but Customs officers may board at any time to check the validity of the documents handed to the agent. Immigration: There are no restrictions for crew. Passengers of nationalities which require a visa are only allowed transit in Denmark for 36 hours.

Should be sent to the Harbour Master and agent 24 hours prior to arrival. The ship's agent will relay it to relevant parties (port, stevedores, work gangs, etc). Pilot requires ETA at boarding point 24, 12 and 4 hours prior to arrival.

Pratique is not required for Danish ports. Agent may request a Maritime Declaration of Health from the Master. Ships Sanitation Control Certificate and Exemption Certificates can be renewed in large ports.
