Stubbekobing (DKSBK)

Stubbekobing is a sub-pot of Guldborgsund.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

LOA 120m, beam 22m, draught 4.8m.

Approx 464,030t cargo and 349 vessels handled annually.

Directions for entering the harbour are as follows: Stubbekobing leading lights: Front light, (post 1m in height) 54°53.6'N 012°02.8'E, situated on the W molehead. Rear light (grey framework tower) 130m farther S. The alignment (176°) of these lights leads S from a position approx 0.2nm N of the harbour through a channel dredged across the coastal bank, marked by pairs of buoys (lateral) and by a buoy (E cardinal) at the N end of the channel on its W side.

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels over LOA 80m. Pilots stationed at Masnedo, 55°00'N 011°53'E board off Masnedo Nord-Vest Flak at the NW entrance to Storstrom, or farther ESE within the channel in a position approx 2nm NW of Farnaes Pynt, 54°54'N 011°59'E.Pilots for vessels entering the channel from the Baltic Sea are stationed at Hesnaes, 54°49'N 012°09'E and board off the entrance to Hestehoved Dyb.

Winds from E can raise water level by up to 1.0m; winds from W can lower it by 1.0m.

Lyngby Radio, recommended for passing messages. The station operates throughout 24 hours. Inmarsat communication is possible.

Customs allowances: One bottle of spirits and 200 cigarettes per person are allowed. If quantities in excess of the allowance are found the penalty is a fine. The size of the fine depends on the amounts in excess of allowances. Clearance is handled by the agent but Customs Officers may board at any time to check the validity of the documents handed to the agent. Immigration: There are no restrictions for crew. Passengers of nationalities which require a visa are only allowed transit in Denmark for 36 hours.

There is no demand for an ETA by Port Authorities. ETA messages should be passed to the ship's agent who will relay it to relevant parties (port, stevedores, work gangs, etc). Pilot requires ETA at boarding point 24, 12 and 4 hours prior to arrival.

Pratique is not required for Danish ports. Agent may request a Maritime Declaration of Health from the Master. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed in large ports.
