Dania (DKDAN)

The port of Dania includes Kongsdal Havn to the SE which serves the cement works and Dansk, which is a privately owned quay situated 0.5nm SW of Dania, used for shipping out salt.

Dania is situated on the Mariager Fjord.

Dania, Kongsdale, Dansk Salt: Draught 5.2m, beam 18m, LOA 130m.

There is anchorage available 1nm E of "MF6" Lightbuoy, 56°42'N 010°32'E.

Dania: Situated SSW of the main channel close W of the W end of the dredged channel. Kongsdal: Kongsdal is approached by 2 sets of leading lights as follows: Front light, (56°41.1'N 010°04.4'E); rear light 150m farther SE. The alignment (142°) of these lights leads SE from a position approx 0.1nm E of the W end of the dredged channel for 0.25nm. Front light, (56°41.2'N 010°04.0'E); rear light 50m farther S. The alignment (176°) of these lights leads S for 0.1nm to the harbour. Dansk Salt: Vessels should approach the berth from the W to avoid water intake close E of the quay.

Pilotage is compulsory for vessels over 1,000DWT, LOA 60m or with a draught of 3.5m. Pilots stationed at Als Odde board vessels in the vicinity of Mariager Fjord Lightbuoy, (56°41'.30N 010°30'.00E), 24, 12 and 1 hours notice is required.

Spring 0.8m, flood 0.5m. Winds between NW and NE can raise water level by up to 1.5m; winds between SE and SW can lower it by 0.7m.

There are 2 tugs available, 1 x 600hp and 1 x 225hp.

Customs allowances: One bottle of spirits and 200 cigarettes per person are allowed. If quantities in excess of the allowance are found the penalty is a fine. The size of the fine depends on the amounts in excess of allowances. Clearance is handled by the agent but Customs Officers may board at any time to check the validity of the documents handed to the agent. Immigration: There are no restrictions for crew. Passengers of nationalities which require a visa are only allowed transit in Denmark for 36 hours.

There is no demand for an ETA by Port Authorities. ETA messages should be passed to the ship's agent who will relay it to relevant parties (port, stevedores, work gangs, etc). Pilot requires ETA at boarding point 24, 12 and 1 hour prior to arrival, weather permitted.

Pratique is not required for Danish ports. Agent may request a Maritime Declaration of Health from the Master. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed in large ports.
