Itzehoe (DEITZ)

The harbour is tidal and comprises of the Town Harbour, used to service the flour mill. The port is supported by a grab unloader used to deliver cargo from vessels to the two conveyors located along the quay.

Itzehoe is situated on the River Stor, which enters the Elbe approx 5km below Gluckstadt, Germany.

Vessels may enter the River Stor at HW only and proceed to Itzehoe. Elbe River transit is possible during daylight only with departure from Itzehoe approx 1 hour prior to HW. There is a speed limit of 8kts up to Itzehoe, then 5.5kts. From 50km above the flood barrage, to 25km below Itzehoe, navigating on the left is permitted. From 50km to 20km above Itzehoe, a vessel with a draught exceeding 2.8m is deemed to be a "right of way vessel". Itzehoe railroad bridge is located 0.5nm upstream from the Town Harbour.
